a different name) for it to be published.
(I love Mary Wesley's
books.)

This is in Gloucester Cathedral Close – an 18th century
house
built on the site of the medieval monastic dung heap......
Car: 6 months old Peugeot 207
Favourite book: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Favourite film: Far from the Madding Crowd (starring Julie Christie and Alan
Bates)
Why? Because I'm in it. It was made in Dorset and I was in one of the crowd
scenes.....
Favourite music: Anything by Vaughn Williams
Favourite gadget: My digital camera
Favourite website: Triplethink.co.uk - very funny
Best holiday: Venice
Career highlight: Reaching 60 and getting my state pension: having the choice
to retire or not: choosing to continue to work (writing) because I enjoy it so much
Career
lowlight: Applying for a job and being asked by the prospective employer
about my career. I told him my first job had been in the House of Lords and
that I had been working my way steadily downwards ever since. Needless to say,
he didn't hire me.....
Normal working day: 6.30am till 6pm – with breaks
for dog walks in between.
I love getting up early – it's so
peaceful where I liveDowntime: Reading, spending time with
my hilarious family, watching film, TV, DVDs,
walking my dog, visiting heritage sites and historic houses in the UK
Best piece
of advice: Make your own decisions. Don't do something just to please
someone else, or because someone else thinks it's a good idea. It usually isn't.....
